Zac,

Great to hear from you. The course was amazing, as well as the people, the place, and space. Last I heard from you was that you were planning on retreating to Hawaii for a bit. Let me know if you are still in slo and would like to get together.

Paz,

Great 2009 Zach! I've added http://permacultureslo.ning.com to the All-Transition Search Engine. Let me know if you'd like some occasional coaching about the ning sites. I now do some coaching with about 100 Transition ning sites.

Let me know if you need any help with anything.

So, I could possibly graft apples onto my loquat...

Could be some guerrilla grafting is in order....
happy growing, Ro

good luck with grafting the avos. In my past experiance with same, the seedlings always got sick and died b4 I could graft on fruiting varieties. I'm not sure but I think u will need disease resistant rootstock to startwith, then graft on the fruiting narieties u want to harvest.
However I do have a loquat that is like 10 feet, and that was grown from seed in a slo greenhouse, then tp'd(transplanted. not toilet papered : } ). I believe that would do well with grafts...are loquat and avo in the same family?
have a great day!
